T16 is referring to the engine: Turbo, 16 valve

Any "NG" 900 is technically a T16, however in '98 they dropped the normally aspriated 16 valve for a low-pressure-turbo (LPT) for the entry model. Essentially it doesn't have a wastegate and only produces maybe 5 lbs of boost. They renamed what was the "turbo" model as the "HOT" for high-output-turbo and added a larger intercooler, upped HP to 205.

I just added the Abbott ECU to my '97 SET Talladega. You will not be disappointed, it is a blast! That with the Saab Sport Exhaust (get it, you'll need it...) I'm guessing I'm somewhere around 250hp. Need to get it to a dyno. Anyone out there know of one in the D.C. metro area? How much per time?
