ok I know Im probably going to get some flack for this one but whatever, I figured Id ask on the Saabnet since the % of people on this board that actuall know about turbos and adding turbos etc is preety high.

The project car: 1981 Volvo GL (I know I know, but at least it isnt a Honda)

My idea: add a turbo to a non turbo.
car info: 152K original owner, 3spd auto. 2.1 liter 8valve 4. with 9.3.1 cr
has bosch CIS.
I dont think I need to worry about knock since it has a relitvly mild c.r. and If I add a APC/IC I shouldnt have to worry about anything. but it doesnt have sodium valves so boost pressure needs to be realistic.
as does the power target, If I can get this car to put out 140-160HP that would be great.
has the folwoing mods thus far:
K&N
MSD coil( that was free, brand new )
gutted cat

any Ideas on this subject of adding a Turbo to a NA car?

this car has been the slowest thing I have ever driven, since I got it back I have made it drive noticably faster through tuning and tweaking. and its much better, but its still very very slow.
