The ONLY way to go for a turbo...

I endorse Dean's comments. Additional thoughts are my own, as follows:
Synthetic should not be optional for turbo use. Both motor and tranny will benefit from synthetic. Research RedLine and compare to your personal results. For me, the belief in quality justifies the price. Change filters every 2.5 to 3k and oil at 12-15k. MTL in tranny seems good for 30k.
I don't have an engineering degree to support conclusions - - but I DID get between 250k and 300k on the original motor, tranny and turbo before a cracked piston put the Stealthbomber in the shop for a rebuild. Nothing but RedLine has gone in the crankcase, RedLine MTL in the tranny since I bought the the car with 30k miles. That's enough to convince me. The wife's minivan gets Mobil 1; the Stealthbomber gets RedLine.
Good luck.
