I am gonna go against the grain and say buy the CSE. The Aero has some seriously nice features on it - better seats, body kit, uprated Trionic computer, different turbo, 16" wheels, and uprated suspension, but nothing on it that makes it worth an extra $3k and 50,000 miles UNLESS you really, really like the seats. For $3,000 you can buy yourself a lot of mods, and *certainly* get the car up to Aero performance, minus the seats. Even on a Saab 170k is a lot, and personally I would wonder what could have happened to a high-po machine like an Aero in that time. Were I in the market, I'd go pick up a nice CSE and:
1. Spend $300 and pick up some used Aero suspension from a wrecking yard, or spend $600 and pick up a new set of Bilstein Sprintline shocks/struts/springs.
2. Spend $800 and upgrade the turbo with a hybrid or a just a larger compressor wheel.
3. Spend $1000 and pick up an Abbott or Maptun or whatever upgraded Trionic ECU.
4. Spend $200 and get some SAS swaybars w/ poly bushings.
5. Spend $1k and find a nice set of 17" wheels & tires.
At that point, I'm into it about $3600 and would pit that car against an Aero any day of the week, unless we were testing the lateral support of the interior... And, hell, Aero interiors are out there for sale, or you can always get a nice set of Recaros/Sparcos/whatever seats for not all that much money...
My $0.02...
