Static pump tests sound great ... use existing wiring if possible, checking voltage at pump. Pump will put out much more high pressure flow at 14V, vs the 11.5 they often drop to. Run 10 ga to check.

I don't think 100 psi is a good operating pressure, even with hot pump. 80 psi is more injector and hose friendly. but can be done.

If you plot your fuel pressures, you will see the std paxton is not active, mabe set too low to govern. you are at 2:1 from idle to 20 lbs boost.

I agree with reduced boost in 1 and 2, and suggested this in a recent 'traction' reply.

Curious about your retard numbers. Saab spec for the 86+ # 237-506-007 is as follows: crank degs

retard starts about 1.4 psi
0 to 6 deg at 3 psi
0 to 8 deg at 3.5 psi
0 to 8 deg at 4.4 psi
2 to 8 deg at 5.2 psi
4 to 8 deg above 6.4 psi

very wide tolerances, I must say.

Yours is consistent at zero 'till 4 psi, then slower than spec to retard. Yours is more like the old non-apc 8V actuator on dist #237-026-004, that does not start till 4.5 psi (curious that you get a big kick from 8 to 10 psi .... the one I took apart seemed like some 'gain' would be lost due to diaphram seating more in restraint bowl). Both my old and new, on my older 83, were toward middle of spec.

I think with the time you have in this, you should convert to a nice speed density system, loosing the restrictive amm, and RR fuel control, and being able to set fuel, timing with boost retard, and enrichment maps to suit. Dyno with wide lambda helps. Wolf, haltech, efi, and digital in canada have nice FI systems including closed loop, around $1100 but worth if if you plan on keeping a max hp saab. All usually come with rough set rich maps.
