I plan to run 25psi, hopfully that will get the 350HP (with enough fuel)The turbo Im running is significantlly larger than the stock T3, it has cosworth wheels and a internal bypass to help it spool quicker. I could run more boost, but the risks are crazy if a injecter goes out. even with forged/coated pistons that kind of detonation will hole a piston. I woulnt have any specs on the motor untill I take delivery ( hopfully soon ) other than I have a rough Idea on its price, my best guess at this point would place the motor at 10-12K and the trans at 2-3K. I dont want to add up all that Ive spent yet, franklly Im kinda scared, the folder of paided bills is 2 1/2 inches thick, and Ive only had the car since March of 2000 I think.

as for getting the power to the pavement thats going to be quiet a feat, even with a locker and 225's I'm betting that it will smoke the tires past 100MPH, so If I want traction I will have to get a set of slicks.

and then theres the question of tranny life, well Mike9 has some 280+ at the wheels and he changes his box about every 2 years, he has simmilar mods to his car as I will have to mine. the tranny mods are fairlly simple.
1)ot peening: all the gears are shot with steel shot ( looks like the stuff in a 12G shell) this helps relive internal stresses and increases the surface hardness dramatically. 2) the saab 5 speed is prone to cracking/splitting under high torque loads, so to help stop that the case is welded up where it would crack ( above the diff housing on the right driver ). to further strenthen it the covers are done in steel ( side and diff ) this will greatlly reduce twisting forces in the tranny and make it a more solid unit. billet Steel inner driver cups: this will prevent the driver berrings from expolding out of the case by keeping it from flexing, this is further stiffined by bolting the inner drivers to the rear diff cover to really keep it together. all that I have listed above will help the tranny take the torque, but I dont think it will be enough, Id like to have the case made in cast steel, that way it could take 600ft/lbs like a Muncie M22 rockcrusher.

and finally, my plans:
My car will be my dailly driver "thats right to and from work", I dont have any real plans to race it other than at the drag strip on occasion, maybe road racing??? I really dont know, other than I know what I want it to do.
in no perticular order:
1) be scary fast
2) handle
3) sound cool
4) appear totally stock ( well mostlly)
5) 12.X in the 1/4
6) give my brothers 993turbo a run for the money
7) out run the cops ( just kidding ;-)
theres other things I want it to do, but I cant think of anything else right now.
