Paul,
If you limit your search for upgrades only to only US performance parts you will be selling your car short. You need to look at the swedish tunners. Yes some are located in the US. I believe only Maptun(http://www.Maptun.com)is. Abbott America (AbbottAmerica.com) also sell parts for your viggen and should easly get the car into the 300hp rage quickly. Why I say look at the swedish tunner is because their ECU upgrades are safer on your car and due to the strong US dollar their upgrades are less expensive then Abbott's ecu. Also in terms of adding the ECU to the car with the Abbott system you have to mess around with adjusting the wastegate. This adjustment leads to error is power output and can pose a risk of adjusting the boost too high leading to other problems. The Swedish tuners have everything already programed into the ECU. You just install the unit. No adjusting anything. Also with the swedish tuners the raise the boost by not increasing the base boost of the car. The car will remain much the same until pushed. The Abbott or wastegate upgraded ECU the car will be very torquie in the lower rpm's and will start to lose steam at the higher rpm's. Swedish tuners cars really get their power in the higher rpm's. Now in terms of money the Abbott ECU is around $1000-800 depending on where you call. The swedish tuners are $800-450. Maptun, SQR and Speedparts are the best swedish tuners IMHO. Nordic is very good but overpriced. Now you will certainly need a Viggen Rescue Kit (VRK $800-650) in helping reduce the torque steer in the car. Viggens are very fun cars to upgrade and your going to have alot of fun with this project but first do alittle more research before buying from an US performance company. I think I've headed you in a very good direction on viggen performance parts and try searching for swedish tuners especially SQR, Speedparts, and Maptun. You may also want to do a search on Abbott Racing and Abbott America to find out how others have liked or disliked their products.
