Well after heading out to Canmore ( mountain town 1 hr away )last night for a party and coming back this morning I was reminded again of the awesome highway prowess of the SPG. Heavy chinook wind last night, SUV's swerving all over the road going 90km/hr, SPG nice and controllable with Jamex's and snow tires holding 120 -140 no problem, never even dropped into 4th. Got to the party and everyone else was complaining about their slow white knuckled drive, I quite enjoyed it.
Coming home this morning cruising at 130 km/hr till stuck behind slow person in fast lane beside slow person in slow lane. Waited behind till the person moved over meanwhile some guy in a new Cavalier gets on my tail huge, flashing lights. When the person got oput of my way I slid over to the right and matched the Cavaliers speed as he came by till he gunned it and the race was on. Pulled away in 5th boostin 1/3 red rock steady and by 170 he was way way back.
Came to a big hill waited at 120, he came screaming by but couldn't get over 130 on the steep hill. Walked away from him in 5th.
I really get a kick out of my 14 year old 4000 dollar car.
