It's my speculation that Hondas are popular here because they're cheap and run forever. Parents ALWAYS buy cars for their kids here, not sure if it's the same elsewhere, so with Hondas being so cheap I think that's why they came out on top. Then you get these inexperienced people running around in Hondas, and since it's the first car they own, they will learn to love it, and then once they get a job they will dump all their money into making their little Honda look like it's worth something. That's just my speculation though.
