FYI... clutch / master cylinder problem... Posted by Carlo [Email] (#356) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Carlo) on Sun, 16 Dec 2001 19:52:34 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Just an FYI...
My clutch pedal has been going to the floor on my '94 AERO and getting stuck (master about 40k miles old) and my clutch just started to slip. I've read a service bulletin regarding this and the solution was to replace the master due to seal swelling. Well, I decided to tackle the clutch first and see if it would handle the "pedal to the floor" problem.
BTW, doing the clutch yourself is not too difficult, just time consuming.
Sure enough, replacing the clutch, pressure plate, T/O bearing and slave took care of the "peddle to the floor" problem.
Just wanted to share.
Carlo
