hesistant about OEM IC's as they are in general garbage. However the Supra TT is an exception. Up to about 275hp it works...really good. This is coming straight from a Garrett Engineer I call a good friend. He/we have done a lot of testing on IC's for various custom turbo projects we have done and most OEM IC's are crap.

This of course is for automobiles. The commercial diesel market uses incredibly efficient parts.

I guess I've said all that just to say "be careful" as you may end up with a unit that does less than the stocker in your Saab. :-) Do REAL WORLD testing and don't just point and say "ug ug bigger better" because that is not always the case. I get a kick out of the rice boys tossing on Starion intercoolers on their Talon/Eclipses just because it's a factory "front mount" when the reality is the Starion unit is a piece of junk. It's worse than the factory side mount they replaced. LOL

On my 450hp Sentra I use a high density blackstone core that measures 24x8x4. Talk about a unit...but it cost an arm and leg just for the core. :-(

This pic isn't my car but I have the same core: (Hope I tagged the pic right)

I'm going to do real world testing with the Supra IC and measure inlet/outlet temps and IC core temps etc etc. One of the things that has helped the factory IC doa much better job alone was just sealing it up to the front of the car where it gets it's airflow. I'll take some measurements to have emperical data but I can tell you that the car does not back out as much boost since I sealed it. :-)

Good luck with your project.

Cheers.
