According to the guys at spintechmufflers.com their mufflers flow as well as Magnaflow type mufflers, and they aren't stuffed with fiberglass that will eventually load up and change the sound. I wanted a pretty quiet system so I installed their quietest muffler, a Sportsman Street XL, and one of their resonators on my '98 CSE, 5 speed, which has the Aero engine. It has a good deep sound, which is not loud, and hardly detectable at cruise. If you wanted a louder system, you could install one of their smaller mufflers, but they still recommend using the resonator in place of the stock Saab resonator to eliminate some of the problems like popping on deacceleration. The Spintech is also available in Stainless.
