Merry Christmas
Check to see if the wastegate is working correctly. You can do this by looking underneath the bonnet on the driver's side. Look by the radiator for a small plastic solenoid (a circular 2.5 cm x 4 cm beige/vanilla and black in colour also there is an electrcal connection). There should be 3 rubber tubes coming out of it. This is the APC solenoid valve. Disconnect the hose that goes to the wastegate of the turbo. It should be the one that goes almost staight down from the solenoid. Be careful when driving without thhose connecting . You will start to overboost (clattering sound)
backoff immediately. Your problem is either the valve is clogged or the wastegate is bad. Before you try this get on an open road and get to 80 kph in 3rd gear and accelerate hard with you left foot on the brake (moderate braking pressure) and see how high the boost needle travels. Only do this for several seconds, you do not want to change brakes. Most of the blokes here should be able to offer some other solutions.
Other solutions would be to check the ground wires and clean them.
