smoothness, accuracy etc is controlled by the ECU via the MAP sensor. The ECU tells
the BPC how much pressure to feed the wastegate actuator via the center hose on the valve.
They way the pressure is varied to the actuator is by switching between the ambient pressure
and the turbo output pressure at a high frequency. It is basically a digital control between 0 and 1.
The average of the number of 0's and 1's is the pressure applied to the valve. If the valve was
switching at a 50 % duty cycle (half 0's and half 1's) the pressure on the actuator would be 1/2 the
output pressure on the turbo.

It does not matter that the '1' value is actually .9 or 1.1. (The effect of changing sources). The ECU is
going to alter the duty cycle of the valve to make the wastegate open/close to regulate boost.

Go ahead and try your idea. I am very sure you will not notice any difference.
