On my '88 9000T, I just installed 30# injectors. To get the same capacity with a rising-rate regulator, you'd have to run 80-90psi of pressure. I don't know about anyone else, but for me, that kind of pressure scares the hell out of me. Also, the stock fuel pump would be put to its limits under that kind of pressure.
In my experience, by descreening the mass-airflow sensor and drilling holes in the airbox, the car will idle as if it were stock w/30# injectors after adjusting the mixture screw on the mass-airflow sensor.
Keep in mind that by stepping up to 30# injectors, the Saab is merely being brought up to parity with the Volvo 740 Turbo, Ford 4 cyl. turbo and Dodge 4 cyl. turbo in stock form.
Mechanically speaking, swapping the injectors is easy. In reality, its one heck of a knuckle scraper on the 9000T.
Keith.
