When you insert the brake piston tool, you need to rotate the brake pistons clockwise as you look at them. What I do is rotate the piston in a few turns then pry the piston in with screwdriver. Then get the outer pad fitted. Then rotate and pry the piston in just enough to fit the inner pad. I just bought pads at autozone for $15.00 They also sell small packs of lube for the back of the pads. Another thing I always do is spray some lubricant on the e-brake lever shaft to prevent it from rusting and siezing up, etc. Oh, be sure the e-brake isn't set before starting the job.
