You max boost is around 10psi now and can be increased to a bit over 15 psi with a manual boost controller (MBC). But other things should be done to handle the boost. There are intake and exhaust mods, most are DIY. Search 'deans_list' on the NG900 BB.
The MBC will provide lots more boost in the first two gears which are now torque limited by the ECU. The MBC will also provide faster turbo spin up and make the engine much more responsive. So what else do you want for $35? Please do not increase the boost pressure while leaving everything else stock. Use the best fuel available in your region and Mobil One 10W30 is suggested.
The other mods are synergistic with the MBC or an ECU mod.
The engine can take it, if it is in good mechanical condition and properly maintained and fueled.
For more boost again, you need a modified ECU for $500 to $800+ US$.
