Well I stopped by EIP today to see what type of prices we could get on the ng900 3" exhaust. The prices I suspect are alittle high but we could counter with a lower price and see if they take it. First off we are talking about mandural bends, 16 ga 304 stainless steel, over 6 ft of a 3" downpipe that would end at where the Saab sport exhaust starts and the exhaust has a life time warrenty. EIP would like to make the system so that the cat is removeable so a "test pipe" could be fitted into the exhaust. That means that the exhaust would have no cat but that you could have your current cat made into a section that could be replaced for emmission reason. The cat could be easily added or removed to the exhaust by flanges. They do have cats that they could sell us for $179 if 10 units were ordered and $149 if 20 units are ordered. I have know that summit racing also sells racing 3" cats for $50 so I suggest not getting there cats at EIP. Now if you do not add the price of the cat to the system then if 10 units are ordered then the cost would be $550 and if 20 unit are ordered then the cost is $470. What I would like to do is to counter offer at a price of $5000 instead of the $5500 for the 10 unit that would reduce the price to $500 for the 10 units and I would like to offer instead of the $9460 for 20 units offer $8420 making the exhaust cost $421. In terms of payment EIP could directly take your money so there would be no need to pay us just call up EIP with the group buy name and they pay with your credit card. As soon as the 10 or 20 units had been ordered then they would start the work. It would also take about one week to have all 20 units made. I think that EIP is offering a quality unit but I'm not sure if we could do better at another shop. Also if we are short on a couple of units I could call a local Saab tuner as see if he would like to order some of the units to help fill in the holes.

I still need to take a 9000(any offers?) and C900 to there shop to have it priced. The total time for them to make the quote is about 1 hour. I know Mike Heyse has a C900 that we could probly take to the shop to have it priced but I still have to ask him. I imagine that the more cars that we take there the more of a discount that we would get. Its just that we need more then 10 people per that type of car interested in buying for them to make a jig for the exhuasts.

Now EIP does make less expensive downpipes at $350 but they are about two feet in length. If everyone is interested in getting these then the cost would be reduce in about half but that means the the exhaust would end at around the cat. Meaning the total cost would be around $250-200.

Please let me know what everyone is interested in? I imagine that if we get 10 9K owner and 10 C900 owners then the prices would be around $450-425 per unit meaning the 6 ft downpipes not the 2ft.

Also they can do complete exhaust systems you hear me turbosaaber.

Now the question is how many people are really interested? EIP is located in Westminster MD. You would not have to take you cars there to have the exhuast bent but they would make them from a jig. Also if the systems get built I could pick up all the units and leave them at Viking if Eric doesn't mind so it would be easier for everyone to pick up the exhaust systems but we really need a number on how many people interested and at what price you interested in(2ft or 6 ft)? We do not want people to back out down the road after all the leg work has been done.

Thanks for any input that people have? and ask as many questions as you would like.
