Hi Nick,
My software is not exactly "off shelf"... It's a "Trollhättan Special" if you like, made by one of the engine techs at the Saab plant. I'm not sure of the exact source, as I got it from a fellow Saaber down in western Sweden.
But I have a friend who just got his MapTun "stage 3" software for his 97 Aero (identical to mine BTW, red w/ black leather). We'll be installing the 3" JT from turbo in his car within the coming month hopefully. I'll post my impressions then.
MapTun are building a good reputation for themselves.
Are you sure about the 3" downpipe. I would expect it to be a fairly complicated job to fabricate one. It's very tight down there on the 9000 in particular...
As for boost levels, expect to see some 20-21 PSI max and somewhere around 16 PSI @ 5500 rpm.
