I doubt if any of the forms of boost control are going to be accurate and repeatable to within 1 psi let alone the .1's of a psi that you are looking at. Though the fuel cut off is way more noticably than a misfire. High boost pressure puts a lot of load on the ignition system, maybe the stock system is struggling to get a hot enough spark at boost. Abbott swears that you don't need larger injectors on the NG cars but it doesn't make sense that if Saab sized the injectors for the stock hp and you increse the hp enough and don't do something like increase fuel pressure you are eventually going to run out of duty cycle on the injectors. An interesting thing to do (and something that I should do) would be to send the injectors to RC or someone like that, provide them with your fuel pressure and they can tell you what hp they will support.
