A little info for everyone...

You may have neglected one major problem which is causing your premature bottoming. Most shocks (including Bilsteins, which I have with Abbott springs)are designed to work at stock spring height. The piston is designed to rest in the upper 1/3 (or less) of the total travel available with any given shock. Once you lower your car (30mm - 50mm) you have effectely removed that much travel from your shock, the piston is now resting around the middle of the travel range and will hit bottom sooner therfore less travel....best way to bend and/or destroy your shocks.

Another problem as I found out the hard way is that any decent (like H&R) lowering spring is they should and ususally have a higher spring rate. That spring rate should be matched to the shock and it's ability to control the spring oscillations. In my case(before I did my phyics homework) the Abbott springs compelely overpower the Bilsteins and it feels like riding on a pogo stick. It actually feels like a proper ride at almost twice the legal speed.

I'm currently working with a shock Mfg. in California to help me develop a resonable costing system (complete dampener and spring). I will post result when I'm done, I'm also working on a front brake setup for all if not most 9000's out there and hopefully cheaper than what these brake houses offer for $2500.00 U.S.D. or more.

Anything you do on your car, understand why you are doing it and then learn and understand the "PHYSICS" of how & why it is done. There is always a trade off...believe me!!!
