...made by joining together two 4-cylinder Saab blocks. It is quite a similar construction to that of the Triumph V8. The motor was built by the Valmet Linnavuori motor plant here in Finland. The have one of them in their museum as well but I can't find links to any photos right now.
They say it was quite a task to fit it under the bonnet of the 9000.
