The same sorta thing happened to me last night when I was going up to chantilly for a little racing. I was boosting my aero up to about 20psi, and then half way up there (from fauquier) my turbo started to peak at only 8psi. I realized that some old vacume hose had blown off, becasue my stock boost guage stopped working, but my aftermarket guage still worked (they are fed by different hoses.) Sure enough, then next day I found a hose that had blown off of the 3 way splitter that connects the intake manifold with the stock boost guage and the by-pass valve. Moral to the story is, if you want to run 20psi, get some sillicone vacume hoses.
