Hi !
Garrett GT-Series is a very interesting product line, from "standard low cost" to "extreme usage/heayv duty" units.
As a general rule of thumb, I would guess that a normal compressor for a GT 25 is good for approx. 300+ bhp, some versions with quite high pressure ratio, read High Boostpressure.
The rotating mass of a GT 25 is higher than a TD04HL-15T (Aero t-charger), but with ball bearings the drag in the bearing is very small, in favor to the GT 25 BB.
So, the response will be nice.
Either way, my guess is that there is no direct replacement for the TD04 "Aero", and as you mention it´s a bit diffiult to compare the different brands.
Even if they both used A/R there are other details that are different.
If you are looking for a GT 25, maybe you should look for a turbine A/R of approx. 0.50-0.60 or so.(I have no turbine information, so I´m guessing)
It´s a little bit "big", but it is easier to make bhp´s with a slightly bigger turbine.
What is your "goal" with the SPG ?
