Oh, I remember passing this guy. He came onto 66 from 28. Of course I just think it's nothing, some utility or construction crew on their way to a jobsite. I mean, I FLEW by this guy. Came upon the idiot reading the newspaper, passed HIM by way of the HOV lanes after following for about a mile and a half (only when I saw him turn the page did I realize I was following an idiot).
I actually thought he was stopping me for passing in the HOV. Something I never do, but this newspaper idiot really was stupid and I just didn't want to get stuck behind someone who may or may not have time to hit the brakes...
The F350 caught me only when I caught up to traffic. He sez he'd been following me for about 3 miles. I know I had my rear fog light on that morning, so I'm sure I was fairly easy to spot from a long distance.
But there was no way I ever hit 80 that time of day. (Now, if he'd been North of Baltimore, by around 10:30 that morning, 80 sounds like a possibility... ;-/)
Yep, really gotta watch it out there...
If there's any consolation it's that I did get off without an actual speeding ticket, but a "failure to observe road signs..."
