Correct.. I'm running a 3.0 FPR (got it from John @ SaabSavior for $5)
I didn't have the tools to do it myself (somehow lost my 17mm wrench) so I took it to a garage.. we know the guys there, so they did it for $10 (only took 10 min, max)
get one wrench (17mm) and another (maybe 15mm?) and twist them in opposite directions... twist the nut towards driver side fender wall..the nut will screw right off
you'll understand it once you're in there..
fuel sprays everywhere when the hose connections are off! so be ready! the mechanic kept promising me it would just evaporate... when I saw little puddles forming, I put my finger over the hose... when I let go, the pressure built up and sprayed even more ( : I was very skeptical, but in minutes after the hose was connected.. the fuel evaporated (so dont be scared!)
the BPC mod... thanks to Mike (WASSAAB) who figured this mod out for us, we can pull some more PSI out of our engines.. I was very very amazed with what a little plastic nozzle could do... go to his webpage to learn how to do the mod correctly.. full instructions (Link Below!)
Red Box.. if you have any friends that know about electronics, you're set.. even if you don't, you'll be fine.. follow the directions word for word, and be careful when separating the two boards.. I saved myself from a mistake which could have been terrible, just by rechecking my steps and the instructions... very cheap, easy, fun, short amount of time, and amazing
the only recommendation I have though.. is that you put the 3.0 FPR on before you do the BPC mod or the Red Box tweak... with the combination of these three mods (which should total to about $10! amazing huh?) you'll think you're driving a new Viggen (a little overexaggeration, but you get my drift)
it might seem a little overwhelming, but once you're actually doing the work, which won't take long... you'll see how easy it is
keep me & all of us on the board updated
