windshield. Then I routed the cable around, and hard wired it to the cigarrette lighter. Very discrete- can't really see it from the outside, the sensors are just below the green tint, with one suction cup on the black area, and one off. With the V1's metal case, VG2 visibility shrinks to about 2 feet from the detector (well, according to motor trend, anyway). My detector has easily paid for itself, and I'd never get anything else- even though it is like the most expensive.
Anyway, having a detector doesn't give you an excuse to speed around like an idiot- use discretion, and be "smart" about your speeding. You can always get instant-on'ed or lasered if you're booking along solo or at night on unfamiliar roads... unless you have an F-16 ECM pod on the roof of your car, then you could just jam everything- radio stations and all. Keep it real!
