Gavin, I looked at the wheels that you got and they are sweet. Now I also have 17x7.5 MIM Asti's on my 1988 9000T Airflow and I'm using Kuhmo's up front and Pirelli P-zero's for now at the rear. Tires are sized 205/45-17 and These are actually a little bit smaller somehow then the stock sized of 205/55-15. The exact size for the upgrade should be a 215/45-17 vs the 205/45-17. The differene is minimal and they larger size probably cost more. Don't use a 40 series or the chances of you bending one of those nice rims will increase, I've been there before. Initially when I installed these rims/tires they would RUB at the rear and under these conditions.
1.) If I took a curve at more than the posted speed
2.) If I had people in the back seat

A week or so later I found some spacer at the local wheel shops and installed them myself at home and only at the rear as needed. They were less than 1/4 thick so I took that as being around 4-5 mm at most. The rubbing didn't return and I changed nothing else, the car now drives just fine. You can see them on my car at the link below...

Good Luck,
Phil
