First off though, might be helpful to say what car this is going into..
I'd suspect a c900 or 9000, manual, though.
I have MTL in my 9000, and that's the only thing that's ever been in the current tranny. No problems so far, and it's the SOP for the shop I frequent, after a rebuild, c900 or 9000. They do their own rebuilding too, so they'd be rather foolish to use something that wasn't going to last...
There seem to be plenty of choices out there though, most of which have also been reported to work just fine, so I can understand the frustration of trying to pick one in particular. The MTL does seem to let me hear some gear slap in the tranny, but the shop says it's nothing to worry about. I was also told they can put in some thicker stuff to quiet it down a little, but we haven't gotten into exactly what that might be, yet.
