Okay, I know i'm not going to get 250hp out of my car, but surely something can be done to boost any engine right?
This question has 2 forks, first: is there an instant 50hp upgrade of any kind...i mean, without swapping engines, can one ADD some 3rd party turbo to this or any Nat. Asp. engine? No? Then what CAN you do to make a 2.3i go vroom vroom a little more?
2nd fork: just sticking with the architecture as is, what parts/systems have a good performance alternative for this car. What I'm thinking is that at 125,000 mi, some things like exhaust, shocks/springs, rotors or tranny may be on their death beds soon...some like brakes will need replacing and no matter what you replace with you won't gain a single HP, some like exhaust may be replacable with something OTHER than what the dealer will have on their shelf, it is a list of those type of parts/systems that I'm hoping to get from you guys...do spark plugs make a difference, muffler/exhaust only or whole exhaust system....air or fuel filters brands, or different air intake needs to be mounted....that sort of thing?
in short...what would you as a performance conscious saab enthusiast do if your precious turbo was snatched away from you and instead you were given a NG900s 2.3i Automatic to have and to hold?
Thanks!
Tom.
