K&N performance air filter, model # 33-2663, is a perfect fit for all 4-cylinder (2.0L turbo and 2.3L) engines. At least for my 1998 900 SE turbo, Deans 1995 900 SE turbo, and everyone else on the Saabnet BB who has tried it on 4-cylinder engines.
Check http://www.knfilter.com . The “Find K&N product..” bar shows K&N P/N 33-2663 as the air filter for all 1994 and 1995 2.0L turbo and 2.3L 4-cylinder engines. K&N has no air filter information on later model years, but the airbox did not change from 1994-1998 (with the exception of the 2.5L V6 engine which different airbox, and uses a K&N 33-2080 air filter).
The ITG foam air filter is more money and mail order only. However, it is less maintenance and possibly has better filtering than the K&N filter. Information on the ITG filter can be found at http://www.itgairfilters.com .
The ITG filter can be ordered from http://www.abbottamerica.com .
