Mr. New Olreans I don't know where that came from but, I can't believe it came from this board. That number simply can't be true, who ever said it was wrong all the way.
Now, myself along with a few others here drive 1988 9000T and for most of us the begining of the RED ZONE on the stock gauge = about 11 psi, maybe 12 if you're lucky. With the amount of mods I have, I was still only reaching this start of the redzone. I never knew what it ws until I got my VDO and them I saw it only being 11 psi. I was pissed cause I'd spent a good amount and others here had less mods and were getting like 15-16 psi, and sometimes even 20ish.
Read about checking base boost after Aaron suggested I do, and check it as such. guess what, it was only about 3.0-3.5 psi and should've been more close to 6.0 psi. I adjusted the wastgate and brought it up to 4.5 psi and then added some 93 octane gas and watched the stock gauge hit 1/2 into the redzone and the VDO now read 16-17 psi. I was veey happy at this point cause I was now getting what I should.
Check base boost if you've done mods and think you should be getting moore than you are.
Good luck
Phil
