There are plenty of ways to upgrade that car, some more painful in the wallet than others, some having a greater performance/dollar ratio as well. Where do you feel your car is lacking, now? That's where I'd focus my energy. So of course, my first upgrade was the stereo. Then tires, then wheels. Then let's see... more stereo stuff. About five years into owning the car, and three more sets of tires (and as many stereos) later, I finally looked into 'performance' upgrades. In this order I did: poly engine mounts, ignition (not applicable to your DI car), exhaust, APC, FPR, H2O injection, modified distributor, higher FPR, low mileage engine installed, poly trans mount, raise base boost to 6 psi, 24# injectors, RRFPR, poly control arm bushes, more stereo stuff, APC tweakage, mobile surround sound/DVD/Screen (last two on order this week).
But, that's just me. :) If I were to do it over again, I instead might start with suspension and get the SAS sway bar kit. I still feel I'd keep the stock shocks/struts/springs though, the ride is hard/low enough as it is!
