APC has only one output - it controls the boost pressure by modulating the
opening and closing (duty cycle) of the wastegate.
That is all that it does.
The only way that the Bosch LH could adjust for the bigger injectors by
itself is during closed loop operation, modulating the fuel injector pulse
width (duty cycle) using O2 sensor input.
So to "help" the LH out, many mods have been conceived - bigger and smaller
FPR's, adjustable FPR's, resistor in AMM output signal, resistor in coolant
temperature sensor signal, defeating the WOT signal from the throttle body
(ie, keep ECU in closed loop), defeating the O2 sensor signal (ie, keep the
ECU in open loop), etc. Some work better than others...
