Huh? I don't think so.
I think that if you have a modified APC, a 3.0 bar FPR is probably good insurance against fuel starvation issues.
One caveat: simply that running the cold stock plug, like the NGK BCP7EV, and running a slightly richer FPR in the 3.0 may foul your plugs a little on cold winter mornings, and run slightly rich.
I think it's probably a good idea. Then again, my modified APC SPG with 3.0 bar FPR sits (it moves across the street twice a week under it's own power) waiting for a head gasket replacement. :)
This help at all? Basically, the 3.0 bar FPR will supply 3/2.5 times the fuel that a 2.5 bar FPR would supply. This relationship does not attempt to describe the relationship of the fuel supply pressure vs the manifold pressure -- I'm just saying that the 3.0 gives more fuel, usually this is good for the engine for engine safety. Your fuel economy will, however, possibly be something along the lines of 2.5/3 what it was with a 2.5 bar fpr.
