I was going to try to explain that but I was lazy. Your picture is perfect. When you remove these connectors from their partners, then plug them together, you bypass the overboost switch altogether. Just leave the disconnected ends hanging - they have no power or ground, they only go to the switch.
On my SPG I went so far as to remove the disconnected wires that run across the car, and the overboost switch, and the vacuum line to it. Nothing remains.
