A fairly cheap upgrade is the BPV. get either a Viggen BPV or a Forge unit. Then I'd get a RRFPR. Then injectors.

have you messed with the APC pots? Do that if you haven't yet, but not before you've done the RRFPR.

Also, you can insert a checkvalve from the windsheild washer nozzles in the APC solenoid valve. This in effect keeps the vacuum line "charged" between shifts so the actuator doesn't slam open every time you shift.

These are basically the only mods I've done so far. Pushing 19 lbs of boost right now with these mild modifications on my '88 SPG.

Later on I plan on doing much more extensive mods. Headwork possibly, and probably a different turbo. I find the stock unit lags too much. Makes for a very "peaky" acceleration so I'd like to get it to spool up a little sooner than at 4000 RPM. By comparison, my '97 900 Talladega spools up at about 1800 RPM. Much smaller turbo, but still pushing between 17 and 20 lbs of boost. The taller gearing of the NG900 vastly improves the top end over the C900.

Both are a lot of fun never the less...

Hope that helps!

Jim M.
