Hello,

I bought a Race Technology AP22 performance meter. It's a very nice piece of equipment !

It shows that the CC stg 1 ECU is good for 43 hp and 55 Nm at the wheels (94 9000 CSE 2,3 FPT manual). The peak values are 215 Hp @ 5100 rpm and 355 Nm @ 3000 rpm, at the wheels. Stock ECU was good for 172 hp and 300 Nm at the wheels. Other mods in the car are a modified air box, a K&N filter and a Simmons 2,5" cat back (with boths ECUs tested). I used 1580 kg for the weight of the car, myself and stuff I had in the car. I had it on a scale so this is accurate.

There's a mysterious dip in torque at around 4300 rpm. It's not allways there. It feels like the engine is running lean, but the boost level is stable through that dip. The engine clearly hesitates at that point though and looses around 20-30 hp for a few hundred rpms. When it happens, it's always at the same rpm level. I have to change the plugs again and see if it goes away. I'm also planning to install a lambda meter to verify the fuelling.

Any comments? Dr Boost? Could it be knock at that high rpm? The power and torque curves come back to their original directions falling rapidly after 5100 rpms. There are just dips that start 4300 rpm point.

PS Cclosing the plug gaps to 0,9 from 1,0 mm resulted in around 10 more Hp. A full adaption (disconnect ECU, wait, adapt) resulted in another 15 hp compared to the first pulls.
