It's been over a year, but this is what I recall. First, I rounded off the square corners on the ends of the front bar, just to give extra clearance from the drive shaft boots at extreme turning. And you need to pull the bolts from the steering rack so you can shift it from side to side to feed the bar thru. Dropping the exhaust at the front of the cat (on my 91 9K) gave some extra wiggle room when trying to feed the front bar through. I put Koni strut cartridges in at the same time, and had the struts removed when I did the sway bars, pulling them is 2 bolts on each side, and sure made it easy. Like Adam says, you have to play with the load on the front end to get the bolts threaded properly, and you want to end up with the bushings compressed evenly, but not smashed.
The rears, don't even try to get the shock/sway bars bolts out. Just cut the mf'rs with a cutting wheel and drive them out with a drift. Put some grease on the new bolts and drive them in place while aligning it all up. I mounted the bars to the chassis, and had to use the meatheads (my son in law) motorcycle hold down straps to pull the bar after getting the first side mounted.
This is a staight forward project, just take your time, and don't let the little things frustrate you. You might get those rear bolts off, but if your gonna try, go out right now and spray liquid wrench over them. But it ain't worth the frustration, just cut 'em.
