Honestly, I don't know if the Saab Viggen IC is and better or worse than the Abbott IC. The only visible difference between the Saab vs. the Abbott is that the Saab outlet (inlet?) is centered vertically, while the Abbott is offset to the bottom (or top. I'm betting that it's the outlet side, and the reason is so that you don't have to swap the hose from the IC outlet to the pipe that connects to the throttle body. I haven't seen any flow specs on the Viggen IC as Abbott claims on their site. My suspicion is the they're pretty much equivilent in performance. The main difference is that you can buy the Viggen version from any dealer for a lot less $$.
I bought the Viggen IC before I knew that Abbott had come up with one. I'm a big Abbott booster (pun not intended, but valid!). I would buy the Saab part again today. I can't imagine that if there is a performance benefit to the Abbott IC, it's worth the extra $$. YMMV.
