I used high-temp paint

Since the rotors sometimes get so hot they glow dimly, I opted for high-temp paint (1500F), since the calipers are so close to the hot rotors. I bought rebuilt calipers and painted them prior to installation. I think it would be hard to get the used rotors clean enough in all the tight places to get the paint to stick.
I wanted to bake as many parts as possible to get a hard finish but obviously couldn't put the rubber seals in the oven. So I disassembled the caliper and baked all but the caliper body. If I had wanted to remove the seal within the cylinder bore, I could have baked the whole thing. One year later, no chipping at all, and if I clean them with tire cleaner, they look nice and bright red, but they tend to get dirty easily. I liked it so much that I'm in the process of doing the calipers on my wife's car.
