I have one. They commemorated Saab's second "Long Run" drive where they took 7 bone stock Saab NG 900's off the factory line in October, 1996, and ran them flat out for 7 or 8 days. Set over 40 speed and endurance records in both Turbo and NA 900s. Where the first "Long Run" in '86 was set in 9000's with factory drivers, the second one was set with both factory drivers and the press (Road and Track, Car and Driver, Autoweek, etc.)

The cars were offered in '97 in all three body types -- 3 door, 5 door, and convertible, and were turbo only. No additional power or performance was offered (Viggen came out the following year. I suspect this was something of a stop-gap measure while the market demanded that Saab do SOMETHING performance wise...).

Exterior:

Color choices were Black, Cayanne Red, or Silver.
All chrome bumper strips were blacked out.
Larger front air-dam body color.
Larger rear spoiler, also body color (matte black was the norm).
body color mirrors (matte black was the norm).
"Talladega" badge written in script where the "2.0" or "Turbo" usually was on the rear facia on other 900's at the time.

Interior:
Chrome door latch handles
Charcoal gray carpet, lower dash and door pannels
Taupe Leather seats and door inserts

Now, since then I've added the performance:
Saab Sport 2.5" SS exhaust, Abbott ECU and wastegate actuator, Abbott lowering springs, Abbott Viggen Rescue Kit, Forge BPV, AutoMeter A-pillar mounted calibrated boost/vac gauge, Zimmerman front cross drilled rotors (rears are planned...), SAS rear sway bar, Viggen Intercooler.

Hope that helps!

Jim M.

Other rides:

'88 SPG, tweaked APC and solenoid valve, Trent RRFPR, Viggen BPV

'02 Aero SportWagon
