I just went for a ride in my co-workers 328i, E36 vintage. Bone stock but upgraded to 17" M3 rims with decent tires, and Panther pads up front. The car handles very well, stops nice too. I've always been more of a 1/4 mile Z28 kinda guy and never cared about the corners much until now. How much work would it take to get my old 88 900TC to handle close to my buddies car? Are we talking bushings, springs, shocks, 17" rims, or the total package. I'd rather not spend 1000-1500 on rims and tires alone, plus larger diameter tires get expensive fast. Can I get close with springs/shocks and step up to a better 15" tire when the current tires are done or are the little 15"s a limiting factor?
