i just purchased the dunlop sp 5000's from national tire and battery. i have a 1990 spg. they are awesome. i wanted a good treadwear rating, so i opted for them. they are a 340 treadwear with spead rating being "w"....up to 168 miles per hour. i opted for them because they rate better than quite a few in comparison testing with the tire rack. these tires are listed as high performance all season tires. i looked at kumho's but i am a little afraid of any automotive products made in korea. i noticed that lexus and nissan have this tire as original equipment (go to dunlop tire site).they have a rim guard so not to scratch rims also. they ride better than the michelin pilots i took off. the pilots cost $148 from tire rack and more from your neighborhood tire store.the sp 5000's ride very well, and you would think that they were strictly a performance tire. i had 195/60/15 hr, but switched to 205/55/15 w rating on the dunlop's. you would think the ride would be rougher, but just the opposite. rides smoother, and my michelin's still had a good 20k miles left on them.
