The SAS is likely much stiffer. oem is 1.06" OD, but very thin walled. sas is 1" solid.
sounds like sas is designed so arms stay parallel to trailing arms, like oem. if so, just clamp one end in vice, and apply torque to other end ... the diff will be very noticeable.
