ECU Question

Hi All,
Further to my message below, I purchased the torx driver and rotated the ECU chassis. It fits fine now. I was surprised when I opened the chassis that there was a small mound of what looked like crushed granite glued to the board obscuring the two small chips next to the big Motorola chip. At first I thought this was burn damage but there seems to be hot glue in the mix. The board works fine so I'm hoping it's intentional.
Thoughts?
I use an MBC, so my first run with the new ECU didn't yield a perceivable difference; thus it would seem that the purpose of the new ECU is higher boost, sans fuel cut-off, and the fuel to manage it. I sort of thought there'd be more to it than that. I'm just waiting for the car to cool down before twiddling the MBC. I'll let you know how it goes.
Bill
