87 9000T.. son's new car.. faced with the prospect of expensivley rehabilitating the AC .. for potentially dubious results, if our experience with Saab AC on our 900 is any reference.. Junior wants to simply remove and junk the entire AC system, for the (he belives) benefits of: less weight to drag around fewer parts to worry about/maintain and improved airflow to the poor ole Intercooler.. and not to mention the Rad.
Given the recent revelation of 270 degree IC temps.. this may actually be a clever idea.
Any significant drawbacks to his plan? I'm personally kinda shy of ripping out the entire system, but am open to any arguements.
