My dealer, Jim Ellis Saab in Atlanta, is basically clueless, or claims to be, about the Rescue Kit. So, I called SaabUSA which is a short drive from my house in Norcross to ask them about the warranty issues relating to suspension upgrades. Very, very, very disappointing. "We don't have any information on that . . . have you tried Saab Catalog, they might sell that part and then you wouldn't have to worry about warranty. Buh bye."

So, it sounds like if I want to install this it's either wait until the warranty expires (3.5 years unless I really start racking up the miles), drive to Texas to a dealer that will support the upgrade, or just say the warranty be damned and do the upgrade. On the surface, if properly installed, I can't see how it would cause any warranty issues, or even other damage to the car other than wear and tear on the VRK itself.

If anyone else has more ideas on how to get a warm & fuzzy feeling vis-a-vis the warranty questions, I'd love to hear from you.

Perhaps I'm making more of the warranty concerns that are justified, but just trying to cover my A$$. BTW, I love the car, and will continue to do so with or without the VRK, but would like to experience the car as it really should be. Not really that interested in more engine power as there's already enough there to get me in plenty of trouble.

Thanks,

John
