Tires for SOC Track Days

I finally pulled the trigger on buying tires for Track Day. I started the hunt, what seems like months ago. I was also looking for another set of rims, so I wouldn't have to remount any tires and I could have the new setup, along with the OEM Super Aeros and the Pilot Sports. The Pilots ($167 last check) being a big reason to get the extar tires, so as to not eat up those spendy units wiht frivolity at the track.
Last week I sealed the deal on a set of Super Aeros, they have a straighter spoke than the later Super Aero wheels and a bit more of a rim, as well as a more polished appearance. Now that I had the rims, It was time to go get the tires..
I'd been looking at this for a while. Kuhmo was a natural choice, as they were dirt cheap and they were gettgin good reviews, but there were a couple of comments about weak sidewalls, and what is the point of being on the track in the first place, if the tires cave in under the pressure. So I kept looking. I saw Falken Azenis Sport tires on sale an online dealer, however there was no stock... time for the bait and switch.. not really, although he did say that for what I was after, he'd reccomend the Yokohama A520, and he near met the sale price of the Falken. So come Track day I will have two sets of tires to play with... :)
