There's nothing wrong with the forge unit venting air back into the system. Any car that uses a map sensor instead of air mass meter wouldn't be affected by a dump valve since the map sensor only reads pressure in the manifold to set fuel mixture. But I think there are different types of "dump valves". Some are set to just pop off air at a certain pressure.
